O bag has always invested in research, and the careful selection of raw materials is entrusted to laboratories whose products are strictly produced in Italy.

XL EXTRALIGHT®

The innovative and extremely light XL Extralight® plastic is one of the "brand ingredients" that have determined the brand's success and iconic identity. Most O bag handbags are made of XL Extralight®, a special closed-cell foam developed thanks to the research and creativity of the Italian company Finproject SpA. This company's commitment to sustainability is evident in Federchimica's "Responsible" initiative, which encourages the chemical industry to respect and support safety, health and environmental sustainability policies and the Cluster Spring scheme, in order to create synergies and optimize the development of the entire green chemical sector. XL Extralight® is an extremely light, flexible material, colorful, versatile and with an unmistakable feel. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it prevents the absorption and reproduction of bacteria, is resistant to water, UV rays, chlorine and salt, keeping its color intact. Stored away from high temperatures and heat sources, XL Extralight® is durable and retains its shape. The material does not contain heavy metals, phthalates, chromium, cadmium and other dangerous substances. XL Extralight® products are manufactured in facilities powered by renewable energy, limiting CO2 emissions for energy production, and industrial waste is collected and reused to create new products, reducing the use of fossil and other fuels. XL Extralight® is used for part O handbags, O shoe fasteners and O slippers.

RECYCLED EVA

Imperfect slippers are made using compounds specially designed to maintain a higher percentage of recycled vulcanized material that is ground, processed and specially treated to be returned to the manufacturing cycle. This procedure, resulting from continuous investment in research and development, guarantees the use of 55-63% of recycled EVA compared to the pure mass of the polymer. The entire production process has been tested, standardized and certified according to UNI EN ISO 14021:2016. Each production batch is recorded and monitored. The slippers are part of the O zone collection. The Green O handbag project reflects its commitment to an increasingly circular economy.

Non-allergenic food silicon

O watch bands are made using non-allergenic food-grade silicon, a synthetic material consisting of silicon (a natural element found in sand) and oxygen.
